That’s where an A-line dress could be perfect. These dresses have a slim top and a skirt that flares out, much like your pear-shaped figure. You might choose an A-line dress that looks sleek and modern like this A-line with a pleated bodice or a more classic A-line gown with tulle or lace.
Ball Gown
Ball gown wedding dresses follow the same sort of principle and, in fact, there is some overlap between A-line dresses and ball gowns. But they typically have a more elegant, classic look to them. These dresses are designed to make the bride feel like a princess in a fairytale. Often with pear-shaped figures, the focus goes towards the skirt, but you can balance out your look with a more intricately detailed bodice or an ornately cinched waist. A big bow at the waist will add volume to the dress, as well as layers of lace at the bodice. You might opt for this detailed bodice with sheer lace sleeves or, if you want something a little more daring, this corset top with a short, ruffled skirt could be perfect for a pear-shaped figure.
