Wedding Color Trends For 2024

Every year the industry suggested wedding colors will change, much like any fashion trend.  As with any trend it can be a challenge to keep up with what’s in and what’s out. There are color staples/traditional colors that you will see at any wedding.  However, there are color trends that you can use to bring a complementary feel to your wedding.  Here are the wedding color trends for 2024.

The Wedding Color of the Year: Marseille Blue

Named for the French Mediterranean coast, and the work of French painter Yves Klein, this shade of blue will work for anything from a formal big city wedding to a destination beach wedding. The color can also be classic or modern, winter or summer, depending on how you apply it to your wedding.

One way to add Marseille blue is for the base of your wedding arch, paired with flowers of the same shade for the full effect. Your bridal party is another great idea for using the wedding color of the year. You could use Marseille blue place cards to add the color in a subtle way. Lastly, remembering the old wedding adage …something borrowed, something blue? Find a spot in your wedding or your bridal ensemble for something Marseille blue.

Shades of Green

Green will be a trending color next year. With couples embracing outdoor weddings, and natural themes, green is a great shade to pair with traditional colors. If you’re looking to add green to your bridesmaids, consider moss green, a natural dusty hue that sits between sage and olive.  Add colorful flowers in your favorite shade and trim them with shades of green foliage. For a more subtle green, sage green is another popular shade of green that will be popular next year.

Embrace the Pink

Pink had a moment in weddings this year thanks to the Barbie movie, but this color trend isn’t going anywhere soon. Blush and dusty pink are a great color for your bridesmaids, as you can find a variety of dress styles in these colors. For a bolder statement, consider the darker shade of rosewood. Pink is also a color that can work with your greenery, and white, as well as other colors depending on the shade and application you use. Lilies, peonies and begonias are lovely wedding flowers that come in many shades of pink.

Add Some Bright Colors to Your Wedding Day

If you’re going for a more modern vibe for your wedding, consider adding some bright colors to your bridal party. An unexpected pop of color is a modern trend, and you can add color to your wedding party by incorporating bright colors in your floral bouquets, boutonnieres and table decorations, including centerpieces and perhaps even serving pieces.  If you need bright color suggestions try teal, berry, or cinnamon.
