The night before and morning of your wedding is a special time. Have fun, but also take the time to recharge, and make sure you’re prepared for your wedding day. Here are tips for the night before and the morning of your wedding.
The Night Before
Eat a healthy meal and keep hydrated with water
Stress can make you want to reach for something comforting. A healthy, well-balanced meal will make sure you have the fuel you need for your wedding day. The meal will also ensure that you’re waking up nourished for your wedding day. With a lot on your mind, things like staying hydrated can fall to the back burner.
Set side time with your partner
Wedding planning can be stressful and can take a toll on you and your partner. The night before your wedding, spend some time together and do things that make you happy. Watching a movie that will make you laugh, playing a video game that you both enjoy or sharing a book are great ways to spend the night before you get married.
Pack any bags you’ll need for your wedding or reception and put them in the car
Packing the night before ensures you won’t forget anything. When packing, also make sure to include any emergency kits and make-up you may need.
Print out a list of vendor details and do a final check-in with vendors
On the list, include the vendor’s name, phone number, and arrival time just so you know when everyone is supposed to arrive at the venue. Have your point person, usually the maid or matron of honor, have a copy of the list to follow up as necessary.
The Morning of Your Wedding
Eat breakfast and keep hydrating
The morning of your wedding will be a busy time, but you should still eat a healthy breakfast. A breakfast with protein and fruit will help keep you energized. Water is important on your wedding day to keep you hydrated.
Take your dress and veil out of the bag and have someone steam them
Doing this will make sure your dress is ready and have time to air out. Steaming will also remove wrinkles and restore body to your dress.
Say thank you to those around you
With all the business of the wedding, it can be easy to not say thank you to those around you. Thank your bridal party for the time they’ve dedicated to helping you. Thank your wedding planner and vendors for all their hard work. Also thank your parents and family for all their support preparing for your special day.
Exchange notes with your partner
The morning of your wedding is a great time to say things you want to remember to your partner. The note is also a great way to remind your partner you love them. Talk about some of the things you won’t be saying in your vows but also include some favorite moments of your time together.
