Bridesmaid Trends for 2026

Like bridal trends, bridesmaid trends will change from year to year. Each year brings different colors that can be used to make your bridesmaids look their best and enhance the overall look of your wedding day bridal party. Here are some 2026 trends for bridesmaids ranging from color to style.

Mismatching Colors

While mismatching colors is not a new trend, in 2026 we will see a new variety of colors being used. Dusty pink and rosewood are great if you want to incorporate these classic colors with more modern styles and trends. Classic pink is also a color that will be popular in 2026. Some  other trending colors are blush and dusty rose.  If pink isn’t your style, soft blues and greens work if you want to mix a color palette rather than just one shade. Tie the dresses together by using the same fabric, for example satin.

Moody and Bold Color Palettes

Pastel color palettes have always been popular, but in 2006 we’re moving in the opposite direction in terms of color. Jewel tones and moody earth shades, even darker metallic colors will be on trend in 2026. Emerald green, olive green, deep chocolate, dusty plum, rust, latte, and navy are just some examples of these shades and  colors to consider.

Classic Black

Black will always be classic.  It’s a versatile color, neutral, that will work for most bridesmaids. Gowns are available in a variety of styles to fit almost all body types. If you’re going for a more formal or sophisticated look, black is a great option. Black is elevated by styling  and tailoring.

Styles You can Reuse

Most of the time, the bridesmaid will put the dress back in the closet after the wedding. Consider dresses that can be restyled after the wedding in multiple ways such as halter, strapless, or one shoulder so they may be used for other events. Consider that the style can be dressed up  with  accessories for the wedding and dressed down for after. Optionally long gowns may be shortened to cocktail length for reuse.

Sunrise and Sunset Inspired Color Palettes

Color palettes aligned with nature are being considered for bridesmaids, particularly for outdoor weddings. For sunrise, think golden yellows, citrus oranges, reds, magenta, mustard, coral, or a punchy pink. The sunrise palette will keep your bridal photos vibrant. A sunset palette, in contrast, are warm tones that remind you of a summer sunset. Think of colors that you see as the sun sets like rust, dusty rose, wine, and yellow. The great thing about a sunrise or sunset palette is that the colors are relatively flexible, and you can select colors for your bridesmaids that work with their natural skin tones. No matter which palette you use, find colors that compliment each other and the bridesmaids.
