Country chic is a wedding aesthetic that is popping up more and more as couples are embracing a less formal ceremony. Just because you live in the city, or a suburb, doesn’t mean that you can’t have a country chic wedding.

Country chic means using flowers, plants, and other natural elements as decorations. While using flowers and plants  that are seasonal is preferable, any traditional flowers can be incorporated into your floral arrangements  and bridal party bouquets. Wood chargers and natural linens add a natural element to your country wedding decor.

For your menu, a starter such as a seasonal soup or salad with fresh vegetables and artisan breads is a great way to start your wedding meal. Organic meats such as chicken or beef with locally grown vegetables are a great way to create a rustic main course. Desserts such as “home-baked”  pies  or tarts are a great way to end your meal.

Wedding favors are a simple gesture you can give your guests. Locally made fruit jam is a  perfect gift for a country chic wedding because it helps support local businesses. Local beekeepers are always happy to provide their honey products for your wedding, and honey is a welcome favor because it has so many uses.

Your caterer or baker can give you suggestions on a simple yet appetizing wedding cake.  Again, use seasonal elements to decorate your dessert table.
