5 Fall Wedding Dress Styles

Fall is a popular time to have a wedding, especially outdoors, as the fall color palette is vibrant and with cooler weather it makes for a more comfortable environment for you and your guests.  Here are four dress styles for a fall wedding using Fan C Designs gowns.

A-Line

The A-Line dress was created by Christian Dior in 1955 when he created a collection with a variety of silhouettes with fitted tops and skirts that flared. The dresses will be narrow at the shoulders or waist to help create the A shape. A-Line dresses can flair from the shoulders or the waist depending on the style of dress you choose.

Typically, A-Line dresses will have few embellishments on the skirt as the dress is supposed to feature the lines in the skirt. Our A-line style features short sleeves with lace trim. The button back is featured. This dress comes in Light Ivory and White. It could easily be paired with a shawl or jacket for your reception if the weather is cooler.

Ball Gown

A ball gown is defined by the silhouette of a tight bodice, and a floor length skirt made with layers of fabric, usually tulle. There are ball gowns with less layers so that’s an option if you want a simpler look. Ball gowns can be any neckline, color, or sleeve length to make the style your own.

One of our  ball gown styles  has lace straps to provide support.  The floral lace design throughout the dress is an elegant touch. This dress is available in ivory, light ivory, and white.

Fit & Flare

Fit and flare, also known as trumpet or mermaid, will have a fitted bodice, and will flair at your hips and thighs to create the dramatic design. This style will hug your natural curves making it a versatile style that will work for most body types. Fit and flare dresses can be made with satin, crepe, and lace.

One of our fit and flare styles can be worn without a light lace jacket; the beaded embellishments on the sleeves add an elegant touch. The floral lace pattern throughout is simple and eye-catching. The back is open at the top and this dress comes in ivory light ivory, and white.

Sheath

The sheath is a style that follows the body’s natural curves and offers a streamlined look. Most styles can hug at your hips, but the overall dress can still have a looser fit. The skirt can be almost any length from just below the knee to ankle length to floor length. floor length, We offer our floor length style in sheath which is a one shoulder option for fall weddings in warmer areas. The simple design is a nice added touch.  Offered in ivory and light ivory, this style has a full zippered back.
